Collection: 6-Person Saunas

6-Person Saunas

Six-person is where a sauna becomes a social space. Two-tier benches, enough volume that the heat feels enveloping rather than close, and room for a family plus guests. It is also the size where specification stops being optional — heater output, ventilation and foundation all have to be right.

What changes at six-person

  • Heater — 8–9kW on a dedicated 240V circuit. An undersized heater on a room this size never reaches temperature, and it is the most expensive mistake to fix later.
  • Warm-up — 40–60 minutes. A timer or WiFi control stops being a luxury.
  • Ventilation — more bodies, more moisture. Proper airflow is what keeps the timber sound over years.
  • Base — concrete pad or a deck rated for the load if it is going outdoors.

Choosing the format

Barrel heats fastest for the capacity. Cabin gives full headroom and room for a changing area. Indoor traditional works if you have the ceiling height and can run ventilation. Hybrid adds infrared for gentler sessions between full steam ones.

Our 6-person range covers 37 models from about $4,500 to $75,000 across Golden Designs, SaunaLife, Harvia, Finnmark and Dynamic Saunas.

Common questions

What does it cost to run?

An 8kW heater used a few times a week typically adds $20–$35 a month depending on your rate and how long you preheat.

Do I need a permit?

The structure often falls under the 120 sq ft threshold, but the electrical work usually needs one. Check with your local building department.

Can I use it commercially?

Some models are rated for light commercial use and some are not — it affects warranty and insurance. Tell us the setting and we will point you at the right ones.
