An 8-person sauna is a genuine gathering space — large enough for extended family, a training group, or light commercial use in a gym or clinic. At this size you are buying a small building, and the decisions change accordingly.

Capacity ratings assume people seated shoulder to shoulder. If you want eight people to sit in comfort rather than fit on paper, look for two-tier bench layouts and a cabin over 100 square feet.

What changes at this size

  • Heater output — you need 9kW or more, and that means 240V on a dedicated circuit sized by an electrician. This is not optional.
  • Warm-up time — 45–60 minutes for a room this size. A timer or WiFi control stops being a luxury.
  • Ventilation — more bodies means more moisture. Proper intake and exhaust is what keeps the timber sound over years.
  • Foundation — a level concrete pad or reinforced deck. Gravel is not enough at this weight.

Some models are rated for light commercial use and some are not, and the difference matters for warranty and insurance. Tell us the setting before you order and we will point you at the right ones.

What does it cost to run?

A 9kW heater used a few times a week typically adds $25–$40 a month, depending on your rate and how long you preheat.

How is it delivered?

LTL freight on multiple pallets, curbside. You will want help moving components and a clear path to the site.
