HUUM Sauna Heaters

HUUM is an Estonian manufacturer that redesigned what a sauna heater looks like. Where most heaters hide the stones behind a metal cage, HUUM builds the stones into the form itself — the DROP and HIVE lines are as much objects as appliances. We are an authorized HUUM dealer with full factory warranty.

The ranges

DROP — a teardrop-shaped wall or floor unit, 4.5kW to 9kW. The most popular HUUM heater and the one most people picture when they think of the brand.

HIVE — a larger floor-standing heater holding substantially more stones, which gives a softer and longer-lasting steam. HIVE Mini covers smaller rooms.

CLIFF — a more conventional pillar form at a lower price, without giving up HUUM's stone capacity.

UKU controls — HUUM's control system, with WiFi and app control on most models so you can start the sauna before you leave work.

Choosing the right output

Around 1kW per 45–50 cubic feet of room volume, more if you have glass doors or uninsulated walls. A 6kW DROP suits most 2–4 person rooms; 9kW covers larger family cabins.

Common questions

Why do HUUM heaters cost more?

Higher stone capacity, stainless construction and design that is meant to be looked at. The practical benefit is steam quality — more hot stone mass gives softer löyly that lasts longer after each pour.

Do I need the UKU controller?

Most models require a separate control unit. Check the listing, and add WiFi if you want to preheat remotely.

What wiring is needed?

240V on a dedicated circuit sized to the heater. An electrician should size the breaker and cable from the spec sheet.
