HEATING SYSTEM

• Three Spectrum Plus dual wave heaters (far and mid) sit on the back wall, one sits under the bench and two on each side wall. The Harvia Vega Compact traditional heater sits on the front interior wall.
  
• Spectrum Plus heaters are UL Listed short wave infrared. Finnmark states these are the only heaters that have passed the tests needed by Underwriter Laboratories to be used in combination with a traditional steam sauna stove.
  
• Short wave far infrared penetrates muscles and joints and makes you sweat 25x more than typical carbon panel heaters.
  
• The Harvia Vega Compact 1900 is a 1.9 kW wall mounted stainless steel heater holding 13 kg of stones, rated for a sauna room of 2.0 to 5.0 cubic metres, with two 850 W / 120 V heating elements.

INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL

• The FD-4 runs on two separate 120V circuits. The infrared heaters, the red light panel, the controller and the lighting plug into a standard 120V 15A outlet on a NEMA 5-15P plug. The Harvia Vega Compact traditional heater is supplied without a power cord and must be hardwired onto its own dedicated circuit by a licensed electrician, sized to its 15.9 amp load to local code.
  
• The infrared side is rated 1750 watts at 120v 15a and plugs into a standard 15a outlet. Plug type NEMA 5-15P.
  
• The Harvia Vega Compact 1900 traditional heater is rated 1.9kW at 120v 15.9a.
  
• The installation manual specifies a dedicated 15A circuit, receptacle type NEMA 5-15.
  
• The sauna is freestanding and self contained. It must not be built into any structure.
  
• Allow a minimum of 3 inches of clearance from the top wall and all sides.
  
• Place it on a solid, dry surface. It is intended for indoor use, and the floor must support the weight of all equipment.
  
• Panel assembly with M5 (5 x 68mm) and M4 (4 x 50mm) screws, with two bench levels, upper and lower.
  
• In the United States install to ANSI/NFPA 70. In Canada install to CSA C22.1.
